You've never seen my posts on why are there so many Mags in Durham. Its 15 minutes by train to Newcastle 55 minutes in the bus to Sunderland.
What's all that about? Can't even get a train from Sunderland to Durham. 55 minutes or 15 in the car. That is a joke and how are you meant to do the hour back after a night on the ale?

Durham to Newcastle then Metro back to Sunderland?
i was in the same boat a while back. i just assumed there was a 20 minute bus or something. started looking and couldnt beleive that the quickest way is nigh on an hour, stopping off at every little tin pot shit hole on the way.
surely they could put a direct bus on up the 690, park lane to durham. would be quicker for the east coast main line too, rather than getting the metro to newcastle
