Self Imposed SMB Exile

I have decided to go into a self imposed exile from the SMB. My main reasons are there is so much bollox/banter going on about the take over its too much to take.

I will return to the SMB on the 29th June or any day earlier if the takeover is announced.

On the world cup from Argentina are looking very tasty but I still fancy Brasil who have been workmanship at times. Yet to concede a goal, theres a long way to go yet.

Owen is out for about 6 months...Sven who is leaving should be sacked for not taking Defoe. I hope Defoe crashes his Hummer into Svens convertible if/when he sees him next as payback. Jenas is the makeweight, hes not good enough to play for England should have been on holiday with Dyer, Woodgate and Bowyer.

World cup

So the World cup is now in full flow.

The matches so far have been good, looking forward to tommorow to Brazil v Croatia.

Koller has just scored v USA good header from a great cross.

From my BBC prediction I got Brazil v Argentina final - I'd go for a narrow Brazil win.

Londons Calling

Came to London yesterday on the train for work for a couple of days.

The weather was gorgeous on the way down but the sun was shining on my laptop screen so I couldnt get any work done .

By the time my train arrived in London it was scortching hot..I felt sorry for some woman who must have got on in Scotland and had a big coat on, polo neck and scarf.

First time back in the office since the burglary and security hasnt really been stepped up visibly. Also people are still using kensington (useless) locks. Might as well be using a bit of string and some sellotape.

Went for lunch at Ultimate burger on Tott Ct Road with a few colleagues, 1 of which is leaving (end of contract) and the talk strayed to football and the World Cup. I relayed my position as working from home until after the WC finishes so as not to miss any games. I got Angola in the WC sweep. Some guy got Brazil on his 4th shot at the sweep.

Got the tube/train to Slough and got so many dirty looks as I had 2 rucksacks (1 for laptop and the other for clothes) and resembled a suicide bomber to many tourists / uneducated yokels. Was getting watched by some copper on the platform so started ready my ALS world cup preview edition to put him at ease and take his hand of the trigger/call off the hounds.

Uneventful trip back this morning to Central London & went for a cheese & mushroom toasted sarnie for breakfast mmmmm...

Burglars at work

My office in London was burgled last week....

The thieves made off with 40 laptops and left another 60 in a neat pile on the floor as well as stealing some mobiles and breaking open ever locked desk pedestal.

The police found traces of cannabis (used spliff) and reckon the burglars got paranoid and left before they could finish the job...

My questions are:

1. How the hell did they get past security?

2. How did they escape with 40 laptops in a couple of boxes?

My Verdict: Kensington Locks = USELESS

Last Match of the season

Well I thought the day would never come...Our last game of the season.

Its been a long and hard slog and the team got out what it put in - NOTHING.

Getting relegated was a relief,

Im strangley looking forward to next season - on the proviso Quinn takes over.

Well heres hoping for a draw v villa..
