nice peacefull fortnight

She`s gone off to stay with her pals in Tenerife so its lovely and quiet here this week, and when she comes back I`m off for a week of peace and quiet in Orlando, well thats what I tell her anyway.
It`l be lapdancing and clubbing all round Fab.
I might get round to doing a bit of DIY in the house we own but there wont be much I can tell you.
The only problem with being a heating engineer and going away in the winter is its always double busy, so I`m running around like a blue arsed fly trying to clear everything off before I go, and unless your one of my very best customers tough you`l have to get someone else Because I cant help you.
Since I got on the scales at the weekend I realise Im getting a bit porky so its teetotal midweek from now on, no more vino in the week..
Bummer.

Another new year arrives

I hope its better than the last one but then my problems compared to the Hazey ones are miniscule, whenever I`m having a shit day U think of Hazey and suddenly things dont seem so bad.
I have to say I envy the relationship he has with his wife though its the kind of relationship I always wanted but never seemed to find and now as I reach my 54 th year I`m at the stage where I really have to just get along with things which in a way is sad.
Its not that we row or anything more that we dont if the truth be told, we just get along not having much in common anymore and generally sharing the same living space like 2 old friends.
Intimacy has long since disapeared I generally go off to bed most evenings at around 12 leaving her asleep on the couch, even when I wake her she just nods and says goodnight.
Christmas was nice its always good to see old friends and of course spend time with family, I`v live away from the northeast since 1972 and as the years pass I seem to miss it more, its strange isnt it I`v lived here in Blackpool for longer than I ever lived in Sunderland but its not a place I feel as if I belong, whereas the minute I drive across the hill at Herrington even if only for  day I feel home and settled.
roots is what it is I suppose and looking back to what I perceive as a more golden time.
I nearly lost my temper with a certain well known Irish comedian yesterday ( the clue is in the way I tell em) I`v got me head in his boiler trying to find out what was wrong with the damn thing and all the time he`s cracking his shit jokes, in the end I just smiled sweetly at him and said , do you think you could let me alone for 5 minutes I`m trying to concentrate here.

home for xmas

fucking fantastic, I`v lived away from sunderland for over 30 years but always get excited when I go back no matter where I live or the fact that I`m married and have kids and grandkids here, I still feel I belong in the north east really.
The wife`s a Manc and goes shopping there just about every other week so I dont think she really understands, mind you I`m one of those sloppy and sentimental types who cries during sad bits at the movies, I think thats the paddy coming out me genes or something.
The phone went off at teatime yesterday so if any of my punters have problems with there heating over the next few days its tough shit, uaually its problems that have been building for a week or two, but theyre so tight some people they just keep putting it off until its to late. well it is now as its not going back on till wednesday.
really looking forward to the Leeds game it should be a good crowd but you know its just going to be the usual up and down rollercoaster ride. but then it wouldnt be the same supporting the lads if it wasnt.
Went to watch the Match on sky the other night at the Shovels as the landlord is a brother in exile, which was nice as there were a few red and white shirts there including Mr lostinlancs who it was lovely to meet and chat to.

another shitty day at the coalface

sometimes I feel that I want to sign up for the Nazi`s final solution, I should explain that I like thousands if people have to go to work in peoples homes.
now 99% of those homes are ordinary decent clean with some maybe struggling to get by on there income, but the 1% are the absolute pits.
its worse in hot weather, that front door opens and the smell rolls out to meet you, i cant make my mind up which I dislike the most the ones that smell of dogshit or the ones with added cat piss.
and they always come with fleas and ticks you find yourself scratching before you even get through the door.
I had one today dog shit all over the place the smell was unbelievable, and they`re complaining that the central heating doesnt work, oh yeah they always have the heating on winter and summer.
attempted to find a spot to put me toolbox on, gave up and went and put it on the front step the only place without the dogshit.
hooray first job check the gas meter, have they got any gas on the prepay. yes they have but its gone off with call help on.
i`m off you`l have to phone your supplier your meters gone off and they`l have to reset it say`s I dissapearing through the door in search of breathable air.
bring on the final solution.
