Road to nowhere

Been working in the big City over the last few months. What a bizarre place it is. Well its not really a plce just a collection of smaller places. Apparently London is 2 Cities and 28 Boroughs and the emergency services need to know some 128 different languages. I stay near Victoria which  is not the most celubrious of areas but its only 5 minutes walk to Buckinghan Palace. When I wandered up there the other night there wasn't a soul. It was freezing cold and there was one copper with a bug gun. The walk took me through Soho and China town and up to Oxford Street then back down Picadilly Circus and onort the Strand. What I noticed was full pubs, restruants shops and a general buz. I just wondered whether London suffers from a recession.

Not been out on the bike for a couple of weeks, the weather was rwally bad and the Lonbdon for a couple fo days Durham for the rest stops any form of continuity. Will try and kick off the training this week mind I am glad I don't cycle around London it looked a right nightmare.

Got the tube one night. Now this was fightening. Jumped on at Kings Cross and the tube didn't move (I'm not that fat). The driver then announced that the tube should be evacuated as there was smoke the panic people charging off the train someone fell over case flying all over and not a member of the Underground staff in sight. Luckily I was standing near the wall but if anything serious had happened more people would have been killed by the panic.
