Blah blah blah and blah some moreMonday, December 4, 2006
Friday eventually went away, I was desperately bored by the end of it and just went home, after stopping in my local for two pints.  Watched Nightwatch on DVD (Russian fantasy horror thing).  It was ok, was expecting a little better and I got a bit lost in places.  Got up on Saturday and my flatmate had his marine (as in the army, he isn't a water living animal) mate staying over.  Flatmate wasn't up yet so had to do the conversing thing but I've met him before and he's a really canny lad.  Watching the news about the mudslides in the Philippines and he was saying he's off there in two weeks.  Urgh, lad at work constantly tries to pick and squeeze spots with one hand while he is reading something, it's a little grim.  Then off shopping followed by the gym.  Popped in to my old local cafe from when I worked at the old office.  The turkish fella who runs it was dead chuffed to see me again, which was quite sweet.  Cheese omelette, chips, beans, two slices of toast and a cup of tea.  Fucking magic.  Went in to Bromley to try and spend the Gap voucher that Catryan emailed me.  I tried on various trousers and jumpers but fucking none of the trousers fitted, which was a right cunt.  I really am sick of these steroids now, even if he tells me to stay on them when I go to see my consultant, I won't be.  I'll be insisting I come off and I don't ever want to be on the fucking things again.  I've got a training plan all ready for the christmas period as I'm seeing the doctor on the 18th of this month so i should be bale to work really hard and get all the weight off by early in the year.  It'll be nice being able to wear all my t-shirts, shirts and trousers again, instead of just the ones that don't hurt as much or look stupid as much, as others.  So I bought a book to cheer me up, 'the goldilocks enigma - why is the universe just right for life?'.   Only in hardback so I had to spend 20 quid but I really wanted it, there was another book about the universe and philosophy in hard back, but two hardbacks in one day would be excessive.  Almost finished the conversation on consciousness book now, annoyingly one page was left before I had to leave this morning.   I made a quite incredibly hot curry.  Saying as I'd successfully  used several scotch bonnet chillis in my, err, chilli, the other week, I though i would be fine to hoy a packet in to my curry.   Six blended in the sauce and the rest chopped up.  Fuck me, it was really hot.  And I still have two days worth left.  My flatmate tried a mushroom from it when he was making his roast yesterday and his face went rather red.  Is that a shit or wind I'm waiting to let out?  Ahhh, it's just a big load of wind that has effortlessly sailed out of my arse.  Lots of it too so I'm going to h ave to keep it contained in the seat for a bit.  Containment successful, it doesn't seem to have been too potent anyway so that's a winner.
Still haven't decided whether to go to the Christmas party or not.
A lovely night out with the missus on Saturday.  To a bar we don't normally go to, mainly because it has it's own draught beers produced at a microbrewery and they can be fucking minging.  Surprisingly the pilsner was lovely on Saturday.  I really like just sitting and nattering with the missus, almost three years we've been going out now and we still chat away about anything and everything whenever we're together.
Seems I'll be almost alone in the office over Christmas.  Should be quite canny really, I'll have the toilets almost to myself and will be able to just sit and doodle on with my own work without any distractions.  And no doubt I'll piss off early as well...grand.
There was an old man in Waitrose who's head just looked like a blinking potato.
Gym again on Sunday and I did a topper workout, felt fucking great afterwards.  Watched Borat with my flatmate.  thought it was pretty shit.  So many people have banged on about it yet There were only a couple of laugh out loud moments.  It's an easy gag really, and certainly loses its appeal rather quickly.  Plus nearly all of the interviews were very short, obviously because the interviewee sussed it was a set up rather quickly.  Watched the new Bond later.  Nice improvement, Craig looks like a very effective fighter.  The only previous Bond who looked like he would kick your fucking head in was connery, all the rest didn't really suit the meaty punch ups.  The last Brosnan film was probably one of the worst, from the opening sequence of him surfing in to a Korean base, you just knew it was going to be shit.  Then you had the fucking ridiculous invisible car, terrible CG, ropey villain....cack.
Innocent smoothies have sent me a real piece of mistletoe.  I signed up to get their Christmas present and they have sent this through.  On reading the attached note they have set up a flickr group so people upload pictures of them kissing various people, various categories but the winners get a years supply of smoothies.  Not a bad prize at all.  I can only do one category though, one is best single kiss (which I could do), another is best group kiss (not going to happen, mainly for the reason I have nee mates) and thirdly the person kissing the most people.  Can't do that one either.  Nice idea though, Innocent are cool.

smoothie statement 'and if its not true you can tell our mams'.

Flushed Away would probably be considered 'shit' if I was an intelligent late 20 something who thinks deeply about stuff an' that.

As I'm not, I thought it was pretty darn fun :)
