| Christ, boredom, it doesn't half get to you. I have nothing to do at the minute, absolutely fuck all. the reworking of the galaxy has been sent off so I just have to fill 2 hours and 16 minutes. That's the length of a reasonable sized film. Or if I measure it in albums, that is 3 average albums worth. I like measuring it in albums because I can go off, listen to an album and think 'that's a third of the time down'. Listen to something that isn't structured like 10 songs and it can drift by quicker than you'd think. that's a lie. It'll still be painful and listening to music while still doing absolutely nothing visually does not make that much of an impact. If I cut it down to long tracks (min 10 minutes) then I could have a break after each track and think 'that's a bit shaved off'. I don't need a shit so I can't waste time that way. Just wish I could get my book out and have a read. That would pass the time no problem, You shouldn't need to pretend if there's no work. Everyone knows there isn't any on for me at the minute. 2 hours 5 minutes. The missus is off up at an interview today, really hope she gets it, want to see her happier in work as her current place is a joke. And in Sidcup. I've just been bored enough to read the wikipedia entry for croydon. I'm not sure why. Derren Brown comes from Croydon, I found out. Yes, we've broken the two hour barrier. Maybe I could pass 5 minutes eating a banana. Although they are both small. Read the wikipedia entry for Beckenham. Local church is said to have the oldest lynchgate in England. Fascinating. It's mentioned in the Doomsday book as Bacheham. Day of the Triffids is apparently repeated on BBC4 tonight. Will be intrigued to see that again as it used to absolutely fucking terrify me. 1 hour 40 minutes. The lights have come on on Crystal Palace tv transmitter, doesn't look like we'll be in for a good sunset tonight. Some of the sunsets recently have been topper. Still haven't eaten a banana. The slight carpet 'pattern' in the office (it's basically coloured blobs) has a slightly too distinct area which means you can see the pattern repeating too easily. Someone hasn't thought that through. A plane trail looking bright orange in the sky. Eating the banana now. It's decent, though a little too warm due our office being horribly warm again. Too windy to open the windows so it's grim. My mouth still hurts from burning it on a jacket potato that was about as hot as the surface of the sun. Had one of those moments where a big bit sticks to the roof of your mouth and you're depserately trying to push it off with your tongue as you feel it burning more and more. Though I had some spinach stuck on the roof of my mouth a couple of minutes later but it was actually a big flap of skin. It's very tender, even when eating a banana. Chinook flying overhead. Ugly things. 1 hour 25 minutes. The wind has calmed enough to make opening the window possible. Lovely cool air. | ||
