Fairly mundane evening. I like my monday nights, my flatmate goes off to a pub quiz in north london so I have the place to myself. I had a quite enormous chilli which left me incredibly full. I just had to sit for half an hour while it settled. After that the telly was straight off and on with some reading. The history of The Bomb that I'm reading is topper, great read so far. Then did a topper bit of meditation. Only thing that distracts me while doing it as my foot going a little dead, so I'm going to have to invest in some better cushions or something. Then tuned in at 9 for hells kitchen USA, I've been totally drawn in by it, even though the hideous woman is gone I'm still totally drawn in. Ramsey is a dick head like. The tarty lass who is shit got through, kind of agreed with the lad who got kicked out when he said 'I think you've got a hard-on for virginia (rubbish lass who stayed in)'. Final of it next week so I'll finally be able to rid myself of the addiction. Got up this morning and had to hang around for a bit as the cleaner fella was doing the corridor, don't want to have a stilted 'hello'. He always sprays a quite ridiculous amount of cheap air freshener when he's done. I tried holding my breath when I left but it still went down into my throat meaning I could taste it for a long time afterwards. Cheap air freshener is grim, it isn't like the corridor even smells. Felt lovely outside, breezy, leaves blowing round with a low sun. Just in time for the 227 in to work. Drops me off at the top of the street. Always lots of planes overhead, nearly always banking. So clear on a day like this, looking so slow as they hang there while banking. That rubbish ad is still on the door windows of that low end recruitment agents. 'stop scratching your head' written on the side of a phone box. Huge lorry unloading dreadful shit into TK Maxx.. Rolling off metal baskets with random stuff seemingly thrown in to them. Mainly christmas tat. Huge bags of paper rolling around in the wind having been blown from the back of a shop. Cheltenham and Gloucester had the window fully decked out in Halloween decorations. Is it really necessary in a building society window to do it up for Halloween? I'm guessing they were just really bored. halloween tonight of course, thankfully our door is behind the actual road the place is on so very few people know it is there, not that many kids would come down my road like, bit out the way.
