Friday was an interesting one. We had a fella across from dubai who we've been doing some work for. He absolutely loved our work so he's signed us up so he represents our owrk across in dubai and all that. Good market to get in to. At one point my boss comes through with him and asks me to get the work on screen so he can through his changes. Then, my boss says he has to move his car so just leaves this fella with me at my desk. I was fucking cursing him. I had to try and wing it chatting to him but thankfully it passed off with many comments of 'superb work' 'fantastic work' and I seem to recall one 'supercool'. Quite a dull weekend. Friday night just went down to one of the pubs inbeckenham witha couple of lads from work. I was pelased to see that Scooter was asleep at the side of the bar, although I didn't get a chance to give her a stroke as she left after about an hour. After a few pints we went our seperate ways home. It was pitch dark wandering down my road, only the very occasional piss-weak street light making it possible to see where I was going. The lights from the main road made for occasional massive long shadows, I was typing some shite into my phone, I don't know what, and the light from it seemed incredibly intense. Noticed the odd fox wandering here and there and I could even see a few stars up in the sky, a rare treat on the streets of london. Got up in the morning and off to do the shopping. Had to brave penge for a cheaper greengrocers but it's worth the savings. On the way back there was a Jay on the road outside the house, with his lovely blue streaks on the wings, smashing looking bird. I waited in the car until he'd finished his business on the road and left of his own accord. I chuckled as I watched a lovely squirrel chomping away at an acorn in the tree just above me. Had a wedding do on saturday night out in the wilds of rural croydon. What an arsehole to get to. Walk, tram, train then taxi. First ones there. Lad from work is in his full Scottish kilt type get-up. Looked very odd as the padded shoulders made his head look a little pea-like. Sat right at the back and in the corner with the lads from work. A lad who I work with is a great laugh, I get on really well with him at work and we often have each other chuckling but he doesn't often come out for a drink so it was good seeing him there. He was on top form, after a couple of pints he had me in bits for most of the night. My flatmate fantastically agreed to pick us up so when the time came I wandered outside to see where he was at. It was lovely just standing outside in the deserted car park, a little rain on the face and load of fields going off in to the distance with a silhoutte of trees in the distance and the muffled cheesy disco as background. The lad had a shania twain soong for the 'first dance', Shania fucking twain.... I paid my flatmate 2 packs of waitrose soft driend fruit selection.
