I have a new nib for my Wacom. Just another piece of plastic. I'd worn away the other oneWednesday, October 4, 2006
Spent the evening reading.  I'm working my way through Brave New World but I have to admit I'm not too keen.  I only have about a quarter of it to go so I'll persevere.  Also reading my book on Rwanda, quite desperately grim.
Got up this morning and my flatmate had been adjusting the time setting for the water last night.  I got a luke warm shower as I just know he left the switch in 'changing' mode.  I should never get him to adjust things when he's a bit drunk.  Not a good start to my birthday.  Doesn't feel like a birthday.  29, pffft.  I bought a fruit and nut to celebrate.  Queue in Smiths,t oo many people asking for bags.
Came out the flats at the same time as the guy next door was leaving to walk the moustachio dog.  Had that embarrassing thing where you both converge and are heading the same way so one o fyou has to take initiative and walk unnaturally fast.  I decided to saying as I was in the lead. But normally you expect the other person to comply and slow downa  little to help build an acceptable gap.  But he maintained a brisk pace which made the whole exercise hard work.  I was reading while walking too so keeping the fast pace was trickier.  I could tell from the sound he had crossed to the other side of the road so I assumed he would be heading in to the park, but where the road bends round he crossed the road meaning we almost walked into each other and I had to inject pace in to my walk again.  Poor show from him.
Looking forward to monkeyworld on Friday, and Weymouth.

Where are abouts are you up toWednesday, October 4, 2006
In Brave New World?

The beginning is a tad bit slow, but once you get to the part where they meet the Savage it definitely picks up with the most interesting part being when the bring him back to 'civilisation'
