More egotistical posturing, I'm sure there'll be another ridiculous argument this morning that solves and means absolutely fuck all. I wish I could work from home, this places just throws fuel on the fire of my misanthropy. Sick of all the posturing, all the foul habits, all the over inflated egos, all the smug self-importance, all the fucking bare-faced nonsense Love 'Up To The Line' from the thin red line soundtrack, have a CD of chants from thin Red Line today, can't wait for that. It's a CD of native chanting from a Guadalcanal choir, some of which is featured in the Thin Red Line when they go AWOL to the native tribe. | ||

| You'd have absolutely hated an ex-colleague of mine. He used the word "literally" far too often and when he really wanted to emphasis a point he'd say "It was like literally, no I mean really literally, like... [insert your own hideous excessive exaggeration here]. Used to drive me potty - made all the more infuriating by the fact I couldn't correct him as we didn't speak for two years. | |||

| people just use the word totally out of context. 'and I literally just uploaded it to the server'. I've corrected people in here before, saying 'as opposed to what - figuratively? metaphorically?' and when I've shown that the word only works in very specific circumstances, they've agreed and have tried to stop. months later and it litters every sentence in here. | |||
