Well, I'm off in to hospital tomorrow to have my scan and then get my piles 'injected' and banded. Apparently a surgeon fella has to do it, which I'm sort of happier about than a nurse I'll have to see again and again knowing shes put some bands round my piles while wincing. Bought a Nintendo DS to help pass the time as I'll just stay in through wednesday to friday for my chemo sesh, presuming they give me it, all depends on the results of the scan. I'm really feeling the side effects now, what with the piles (which is very common for this type of chemo apparently), dry skin on my hands feet and face, and I mean fucking dry, no moisturiser makes much of a dent, and mouth sores, which are unpleasant and only likely to get worse, possibly spreading to my lips. You get skin in your mouth like you have badly burnt it when you haven't and all you can do is get some gel to numb your mouth before eating. Great. At least the piles will get sorted which have been, in the words of who I spoke to on the ward today 'crucifying' on the pain level, A suitable word to convey the pain levels.
Anyway, it's late, I won't be blogging for a few days but I might write one out for the missus to stick up for me if youre lucky ;) I'm sure I'll have some great tales about piles procedures when I get back.
