I've eaten too many pickled onions and I feel sick. Waitrose do some lovely ones mixed with peppercorns, chillis and mustard seeds, quite sweet tasting.Saturday, October 6, 2007
Well hello again.  Last night was very nice indeed, getting to meet some old faces and some new, it really was lovely and peoples words are too kind (as are their gestures, I really didn't expect presents but they were terribly appreciated).  I'll make sure I get on to some new poems soon mr PS, something came to me in the middle of the night when I couldn't sleep but my phone was in the other room so I couldn't write it down, it might come back to me.
Obviously I got ridiculously nervous and felt sick and had terrible wind problems but I settled eventually, it isn't too hard when everyone is o nice.  Janie P was a lovely, a very warm person indeed.  But thanks to everyone who braved south london to come along, I really had a thoroughly enjoyable night and I hope you all got home safely.
Went to the park this morning, it was beautiful aagin (I took some photos, if there's any decent ones I'll pop  em in the library when I can be arsed to check them).  We enjoyed watching the squirrels as they frantically searched for the nuts they'd buried, I almost wanted to give them a helping hand.  We sat in the cafe on the tables outside just holding hands, you can say so  much without speaking when holding someones hand.  Every squeeze, every movement, every adjustment takes on meaning.  A beautiful cloudburst passed overheard, golfers chipped up to the hole in front of us, pigeons pecked at some thrown bread, I sipped my lip staining slush puppy and we just sat and enjoyed being with each other, I love her more than any words could possibly say, I have only my touch left to me.
I was bit cold and we headed home where she made me a lovely bath with candles and all that and just sat and  talked as I slipped under the water, totally content.
