Alright?
I'm not doing too bad. Just had my counsellor round, I enjoy my chats with her, it's good to run over recent events but talk about all my feelings with regards events. She's very good, it's just like an ordinary chat really. Mentioned I wouldn't mind a bit of help with my nightmares as I'm still plagued by them (always have been for years). She mentioned the type of therapy she's sort of trained in and I've arranged an appointment to run through it with her. I'd love to get rid of my nightmares like as I really do suffer. They vary hugely, from more psychological/emotional terror to outright horror. She doesn't believe in interpreting dreams, which was a relief as I think all that shite is bobbins an arl. The technique sounds a bit wacky but she said it stopped her nightmares so I'd like to try it.
My consultant phoned last night and he wants me in hospital for another ERCP next week, which I don't mind too much so long as I get the general instead of the sedatives this time. It should hopefully help my liver clear itself out in preparation for treatment. It should hopefully be done privately as well so I'm sure it will be very nice if it is done privately. Thankfully he didn't mention anything else about my scan so obviously the cancer is staying localised, despite my paranoia thinking otherwise.
Yesterday I went to Beaver World (no laughing at the back please). Popped out to Westerham for a bite to eat then hunted out Beaver World. It was an odd we place but very interesting. They have a lot of rescued reptiles there, the big monitor lizard they had was especially impressive, as was colin, the caiman. They used to have an alligator living there called Big Boy, he starred in Live and Let Die as well as numerous other films and TV shows but he sadly died last year at 49 years old. The beavers were ace, they just looked like a big ball of cuddle. They had all sorts of animals in there like, there was an amusing macaw who whenever you turned your back to him to look at some of the other birds he would start saying 'hello! hello!' until you turned back and looked at him. He made me chuckle.
Anyway, 'daily cooks' is on so I'm off to watch that (sad, I know, but I have my routines). I might update again later tonight |
