| Well, today went very well, the welfare officer was cool and my oncology appointment was very good also. An hour behind schedule like but it was supposed to be two so I suppose we did ok. Head honcho popped in while I was with the registrar and he was a very likable bloke. Youngish and geeky with an air of social nervousness about him he had me chuckling and interested in equal measure. We are going to see him privately and my private care covers me so that's a boon. I just really took to him well and he obviously knows his stuff. I felt very reassured. Then went out and waited to see the dietician. I was on the verge of leaving because it was almost 6 and the staff were packing up but she saw us just before I was for the off. My appetite is really, really good at the minute (I'm eating like a horse) and she said that was very very positive as often people with my sort of cancer have problems with appetite. I was told to avoid nothing and just eat what ever I liked and pile on the weight as it helps with chemo as you have less of a chance of getting toxicity. Anyway, I want to watch that program about the battle of midway with snow father and son presenting. Although peter snow gets on my tits a bit, he's just a bit of a hyperactive nobhead really. And he was in that dreadful attempt to rescue Tomorrows World which has tarnished him forever. must dash. |
