tried to go to bed at half ten as I felt tired but the itching took over. The itching is quite incredibly uncomfortable. As I mentioned before, it's due to the bile being trapped in your liver so your liver flushes it through the skin making you yellow, but bile contains lots of salts which cause the itching. It can become quite unbearable. Trouble is it is always at its worst when I take my clothes off for bed. The change in temperature seems to bring it on. I lay itching for 4 hours before getting up and watching sky sports news 'through the night' before trying to put on hulk and getting some sleep on the settee. Drifted off at 4. Hour later I got up and went back to bed and cuddled up with the missus and managed to sleep quickly and get a few more hours. Dreamt I was in charge of an airline refuelling plane, it was freezing up and I knew it was going to blow up, then people realised that a massive explosion the other week in mid air will have been caused by the same thing. Then I had a deadline to make a CG presentation while people played on some electric guitar thing. quite odd.
Phew, the mornings are always worst. That sick-to-the-stomach feeling hits you once again. Cancer. treatment. Pain. Death. I hate the mornings. The only bad time I had was wednesday morning in hospital when I wept for hours, that was before cancer was confirmed. So I've been up and at em quickly so I'm not dwelling on things. Going to drive down to Beachy Head soon, I even enjoy the drive there. If only we'd got a better nights sleep we could have popped in to the ashdown forest llama park on the way.
Anyways, deep breaths, chin up and hope that sick feeling goes away (well, the sickness will be partially caused by the camera procedure which leaves your guts very tender) |
