Sickness

I'm off sick with a cold today.  I've decided that although I could go in, noone thanks you for spreading germs around (and rightly so).  As I don't have to work, I'm going to spend the day drinking cups of tea, watching tv on the internet and reading the SMB.  In the last couple of weeks I've been working quite hard(at home) on the PDA app I'm writing, so I haven't done much worth writing about.

I did return to competitive 5 aside action on Monday.  The substitution of me onto the pitch culminating in us conceding 2 more goals and losing the game.  I wasn't at fault for either, but I think I was the catalyst.  I hate playing against young uns, I get Gary Breened time and time again.  I know that I can't keep up with them, so drop deeper and deeper until they've got too much space to play in.  I also played with work on Tuesday which was canny, although I wish we'd had a bit more time cos I was just getting into it when our hour was up.  I still haven't managed to get my CRB check done for Watford Trust coaching.  I arranged to meet the bloke who needs to see my passport, drivers licence etc... but then had to cancel and I haven't been able to get in touch since.  I thought it was just volunteer stuff, but apparently we'll be paid too!

I'm going home(nearly) this weekend.  Supposedly Hartlepool to meet friends on Friday(although I'm not sure I can justify that if I've been off work ill), then picking the family up from Cramlington on Saturday.  Two weeks home alone is ace in some respects, but I think if it continued any longer I'd start to waste away.  I've been out socially once in that period, to watch the footy on Sunday, and even that was only for a couple of hours.

Well, I'm off to get something to clean snot from the laptop.
