I have a "Keane In, Home Win" Celebratory Hangover today

and as we've won, I've ended my self imposed not blogging until Sunderland win exile.  Sunderland too often colour my thoughts and I decided that no blog was better than being a whingy moany fucker.  As I've been home alone, I haven't really done much.  No car means that it's quite difficult to do the things I normally take for granted.  Getting lifts to play football means I've spent a lot of time waiting around for other people ( whom I appreciate for giving up their time and picking me up), and you can't make snap decisions on what to do as you're relying on someone else all the time.  Going up to Newcastle on Friday night to become a family man again.  Really looking forward to it.  Although I've enjoyed being lazy for a couple of weeks, I've really missed Jenny and Andrew and can't wait to see them now.

My train from Kings Cross is at 10pm, and takes 4 and a half hours to do the normally sub 3 hr journey .  Still, it cost less than £20 so I can't complain.  Gives me plenty of time to get ready, and to get there after work too.

I have a busy week.  Tomorrow night, a friend is moving onto pastures new, so is having a few leaving drinks.  I've decided to attend.  Good job it wasn't today.  Thursday night, my boss is having her leaving do before going back to the Shetlands!  She's lived here for 20+ years, but is going back to look after her Dad and run a B&B.  We're having a Scottish night in her honour.  Apart from the usual scottish delicacies such as Haggis and deep fried Mars bars, there's going to be a Ceilidh.  We had a one at our wedding, and they're great as everyone joins in.  My favourite is strip the willow, although I find it frustrating when people can't (or at least don't try) do it as it's not the most difficult dance.

Well, I'm off to rest my weary head in anticipation of first look Lost
