Help needed: Preseason Tour

Know a little about Portland, vancouver or Seattle? Can you help?

I am frequently being asked by sunderland supporters if anything is being organised for the trip to the USA and Canada this pre-season, so while there is time left I thought I would be worth while put out an appeal to all our readers to help with some of the organisation.

On the day of the matches I will try and be in the bars closest to the grounds (see below), which will be better organised nearer the time by better people then myself, however my knowledge of the cities sunderland is playing in this year is limited so if you know any good bars or inexpensive/good hotels then please contribute to the SAFC family by letting us know. I have already tried to set up a messageboard thread on RTG for just this purpose.

It can be found here:

If you want to meet up with other fans or help them out by letting them know the area you're staying in, please post in the above section and feel free to PM me: The yankee mackem, It would be greatly appreciated as this way we can have all of the information in concise area and also some feedback from other fans about good/bad ideas. Also, supporters can stay in the same hotels as other supporters.

Remember: We're looking for safe, freindly places to drink.

In the mean time, we're also currently looking for decent bars to help house the influx of sunderland supporters coming over, I'll update this page once in a while so please.. drop me a line if there's something you'd like added or taken out, we particularaly need help with vancouver and Portland... I'm sure there isn't just one bar in each town (Although there was in Raleigh last pre-season for those that remember it)!
