Referee for SAFC v Stoke announced

The referee for tonight's match against Stoke City will be Michael Ryan of Lancashire. The Assistant Refs are Alec Clyde of South Yorkshire and Allan Rawcliffe of Greater Manchester.

Mr Ryan has reffed 26 matches so far this season (17 Premiership, 3 Div 1, 3 LC, 3 FAC); he has already handed out a huge 84 yellow cards and 9 red cards. The most yellow cards he's given out in one match this season so far was eight - when Oldham lost 1-0 to Notts County last November.

Mr Ryan officiated at our first game of this season against Nottingham Forest back in August when he booked Phil Babb, Jocky Bjorklund and Paul Thirlwell. He also oversaw Stoke's second round Carling Cup defeat against Gillingham last September.

Sunderland announce change to West Brom fixture date

Sunderland AFC today confirmed that their forthcoming fixture against West Bromwich Albion, originally scheduled for Saturday 17th April 2003, has been selected for live transmission by Sky Television.

The match will now take place on Sunday 18th April 2004, kick off 4:00pm.
