Myhre loan extended

Sunderland AFC have confirmed that goalkeeper Thomas Myhre's loan period at Crystal Palace has been extended until 17 January, 2004. His final match for Palace will be their away fixture against Watford on the same day.

Thomas has made 13 appearances for Palace since his loan commenced back in October, conceding 18 goals - including five in one match against Wigan, and four against Preston; Myhre has kept four 'clean sheets' during his spell at Selhurst Park.

Palace are currently 18th in Division One, and saw former Oldham gaffer Iain Dowie named as manager just before Christmas.
