SAFC confirm loan swap deal completed

Sunderland have confirmed the completion of the signing of Sheffield Wednesday and Republic of Ireland midfielder Alan Quinn on a three-month loan deal which also sees Black Cats striker Michael Reddy move to Hillsborough.

Quinn, 24, will meet up with his new team mates ahead of tomorrows game against Sheffield United but is unlikely to figure in the squad.


Quinn has been given the number 19 shirt.

Extra tickets available for Sheffield Utd match tomorrow

Kick Off 3.00pm

Approximately 500 additional tickets will be made available to Sunderland AFC supporters for tomorrow's game.

These tickets will be available from the 'away' ticket office at Bramhall Lane from 12.00pm, priced at £20 for adults and £12 for Under 16's/senior citizens.

Sheffield United are urging supporters to arrive early for the fixture.

Brown to Go Home

Reserve forward Chris Brown has today joined Doncaster Rovers on a months loan.

Chris is the son of former Sunderland Centre Forward Alan Brown and was born in Doncaster when Alan joined them after leaving Sunderland.

The England Under 19 International links up with the Division 3 side today and will be available for selection for their home game against Bristol Rovers on Saturday.

Chris, 19, was born in Doncaster and is the son of former Sunderland and Doncaster striker Alan Brown.

Reddy/Quinn Swap Deal

The club are today hoping to complete the loan signing of Sheffield Wednesday and Republic of Ireland midfielder Alan Quinn in a deal which will see striker Michael Reddy move in the opposite direction.

If all goes to plan they will complete the three-month deal in time for Quinn to join up with the rest of the squad in time for tomorrow’s match at Sheffield United.
