"Tommy is pacy forward, he's got good movement and a great touch. He's a good footballer, who's style suits the way we play and he will be a welcome addition to our squad.

Oster's Euro call-up: Sunderland apply for Gillingham postponement
Press release from Sunderland AFC:
Sunderland winger
John Oster has been selected by Wales for the forthcoming Euro 2004 qualifying game.
Wales currently lie 2nd in Group 9 and will take on Serbia and Montenegro at the Millenium Stadium, Cardiff on Saturday 11th Octber 2003.
RTG NewsNote:
Oster's selection for Wales means that Sunderland can ask for their away match against Gillingham on 11th October to be rescheduled, as at least three SAFC players will now be in competitive international action that day (Mart Poom and George McCartney have also been selected for their country's respective squads for the Euro 2004 qualifiers on 11th October) and the Republic of Ireland have still to confirm their squad for that day's fixture against Switzerland which could potentially see Gary Breen, Colin Healy and Thomas Butler selected.
Readytogo.net can exclusively reveal that the club will be applying to the Football League for a postponement, and a Sunderland AFC spokesperson told us today that they will inform supporters as soon as the outcome of the application is known.
Advance tickets purchased for these games will be valid for the rearranged fixtures in the event that the games are postponed.
