Sunderland welcome Sam Allardyce’s side on Saturday 12 January and fans will be able to experience an outdoor jumbo screen, which will show the latest highlights, interviews and features from around the club.
The EA Sports Dug Out will be on site, where fans can challenge each other on electronic sports games and the Foundation of Light will showcase a number of activities including a speed cage and inflatable goal.
Capital Radio will also host a roadshow with music, competitions and entertainment. Bar and catering facilities are on offer outside the stadium, with the Fan Zone open from 1:00pm until just before kick off (2:45pm).
The club's commercial director Gary Hutchinson said: “This is something completely new for the club and we’ve been keen to try for sometime. We are always looking at ways to enhance the overall matchday experience for our supporters hopefully the Fan Zone will help us to do just that.
