Sunderland Supporters Trust Update

The Steering group who are attempting to set up a Sunderland Supporters Trust have sent us the following update:

"Some weeks ago we, the above mentioned group, published an article in ALS fanzine, together with a poll on the SMB forum of RTG asking for opinions of supporters as to whether they would be interested in forming a Supporters Trust for Sunderland AFC.

"We had a positive response and were impressed by the number who voted.
We have decided to carry on working toward this objective and would be very pleased to hear from anyone who is interested in joining the steering group and helping us achieve this aim.

"A lot of ground work has been done and we have a co-ordinator who is with the government sponsored Supporters Direct. We hope eventually to launch an open meeting but in the meantime if anyone would care to join us, (the steering group) would you send a PM to any of the following posters on the message boards

Nannypat,(Pat Williams), or Captain Ball (Alan Emerson).
