SPAM emails "from RTG"

Over the last 19 hours we have been receiving over 10,000 rejection emails every hour from email servers rejecting emails which appear to be from RTG. This attack is still ongoing.

These are emails from users such as "dcbklpmdp@readytogo.net" (substitute any random characters for the name). Many appear to have a virus attached.

The emails aren't actually being sent from our servers as a quick look at the header shows (they seem to be being sent from hundreds of different PCs around the world) and the reply address of xyz@readytogo.net is a fake.

Obviously if we are getting 10,000 reject messages/hour there must also be a percentage of messages which are getting through to genuine users. To those users we apologise, but would re-iterate that these are fake messages and not from us.

For the users of readytogo, apologies if the service is slightly sluggish today, the email attack won't deny access to RTG as was probably intended, but it is slowing things down.
