To date, Football Aid and Sunderland have awarded over £10,000 to the SAFC Foundation with last years grant helping fund the second year of their Family Learning through Football project – an initiative developed to increase the capability of the most disadvantaged parents to support their children’s learning whilst raising their own skills levels and confidence. It also increases the capacity of local families to take up education and training and improves the educational attainment of children.
