1st New Signing Completed

The club have formally completed the signing of Republic of Ireland Under-21 forward Daryl Murphy from Waterford for fee of £100,000 offering him a 2 year contract.

Daryl said: “I’m absolutely delighted to come to a club as big as Sunderland. There’s a fantastic fan base here, they love their football and to play in front of such a passionate crowd will be fantastic.

“As soon as I saw the facilities – the Stadium and the training ground - I wanted to come here. It will be a new start for me and my family and I’m really looking forward to the challenge.”
