SAFC to keep schtum on signings!

Sunderland AFC have this afternoon issued a statement reassuring supporters that they are pursuing a number of options for strengthening the squad.

But club CEO Peter Walker said that they would not be drawn on exactly which players the club is in talks with.

Walker said, "We are actively talking to several players, agents and clubs at this time. But we don't feel it is helpful for these scenarios to be played out in public.

"When we complete any deals we will of course inform our supporters through the usual channels."
