Myhre unsettled....again

Second choice keeper Thomas Myhre has again spoken of his dismay at how little first team football he's playing.

The Norwegian came to us two years ago on a free transfer from Besiktas and spent three months last winter on loan to Crystal Palace where he made sixteen first team appearances - and he spoke out publicly towards the end of his spell at Selhurst, saying how he needed first team games and he'd be willing to sign for the Eagles permanently.

This season, he's played in three league matches and our Carling Cup first and second round games, deputising for Mart Poom while the Estonian was injured, but now he's back on the bench.

Speaking to a Norwegian newspaper this week, he said "I had some interest in the last transfer window - but the manager preferred me ahead of Poom then.

"Poom has been solid lately, but I must wait anyway for the transfer window to reopen in January. Perhaps I can go on a loan as I did last season at Palace.

"To go home to Norway is also possible, but it's too early to tell."
