Two awards for SAFC players

Two SAFC players have won awards at the North East Football Awards.

Julio Arca was named North East Football League Player of the Year, for his contribution to SAFC's efforts last season, when we so narrowly missed out on progressing to the playoff final.

And Kevin Kyle received the accolade of North East Young Footballer of the Year.

Arca said of his award, "I'm honoured to get this award. It means a lot to me and hopefully we can build on last year's success by winning promotion this season."

The winners of the main awards were:

NORTH EAST YOUNG PLAYER OF THE YEAR: Kevin Kyle

NORTH EAST LEAGUE PLAYER OF THE YEAR: Julio Arca

NORTH EAST NON-LEAGUE CLUB OF THE YEAR: Dunston Fed FC

NORTH EAST GOAL OF THE SEASON: Laurent Robert
