Baggies are Bookies Favourites

With only eight games to go in the league campaign Victor Chandler just favour West Brom (10/11) ahead of Norwich City (Evens) in their First Division outright market.

The Canaries currently sit top on goal difference from the Baggies (both 73pts) as Nigel Worthington takes his side to relegation threatened Burnley on Saturday but Victor Chandler’s football spokesman David Garbacz said he expected West Brom's greater experience to tell by the end of the season.

"The First Division title could go right to the wire and if I had to stick my neck out I'd have to go for West Brom," he said.

"Manager Gary Megson knows exactly what is required to get them back into the Premiership and apart from the odd barren patch they've looked like champions elect for most of the season.

"Norwich seem to have lost a little momentum now that Darren Huckerby's honeymoon period has ended and the goals don't appear to be flowing as freely."

Megson takes his team to Norwich's East Anglia rivals Ipswich on Sunday.

West Brom are 8/5 to claim all three points at Portman Road.

Both sides must play the lads (14/1) before the end of the season. The Black Cats are eight points behind both sides but with a game in hand.
