Semi Final Injury Blow - Club Press Release

Sunderland were left reeling today from the shock news that one of their key team members could be missing from Sunday’s FA Cup Semi-Final at Old Trafford.

Club mascot Samson the Cat suffered a foot injury after falling off his scooter last night and is a doubt for Sunday’s big game.

Samson is receiving intensive treatment at the Club’s state-of-the-art training ground, the Academy of Light and will face a late fitness test on Sunday morning.

Commenting on his injury, Samson said:
I’m not feline too well at the moment and will be devastated if I have to miss out on such an important game, but I’m working hard to regain my fitness and hopefully I'll be in purrfect condition by Sunday.”
