Bob Stokoe Beer At ASDA

The Double Maxim Beer Company, brewers of Sunderland's favourite tipple, have announced that they are launching a special tribute ale in honour of one of Wearside's favourite men.......... Bob Stokoe! 'Bob Stokoe's Best' will be available from Friday 2nd April in ASDA stores at Gateshead, Boldon, Washington, Stanley, Hartlepool, Gosforth, Sunderland, South Shields, Peterlee, and Spennymoor at a price of £1.55 per bottle.

'Bob Stokoe's Best' is a rich, malty beer appropriately full of character and sporting an aroma of rich dark fruit. Proudly sported on the exterior of the 550ml bottle is the classic picture of the great man wearing his trilby after Sunderland's 1973 FA Cup win.

10p from every bottle sold at ASDA will go to the 'Statue for Stokoe' appeal. A limited number of 5000 cases (60,000 bottles) have been produced, which will raise £6,000 for the appeal when they are all sold.

The special 4.5% ABV brew will be sold in bottles featuring either a red or a white bottle top!
