Referee for Reading v SAFC announced

The referee for Saturday's match against Reading will be Paul Taylor of Cheshunt in Hertfordshire. The Assistant Refs are Michael McCoy of Kent, and Mike Mullarkey of Devon.

Mr Taylor has reffed 26 matches so far this season (7 Div 1, 7 Div 2, 6 Div 3, 2 LC, 3 FAC, 1 LDV); he has already handed out a huge 91 yellow cards and 11 red cards. The most yellow cards he's given out in one match this season so far was nine - when York beat Kidderminster 1-0 last December, and he's only had one game this season when he didn't give out any cards at all!

Mr Taylor was the man in the middle when we played - and beat - Mansfield in the opening round of the League Cup. We won 1-0 and Mr Taylor booked four Stags' players but only one Mackem - Mickey Gray. He was also in charge when Reading fell to a shock 3-0 defeat to now relegation-certainties Wimbledon, on Boxing Day at the Madejski.
