Referee for SAFC v Sheffield FAC Q/F

The referee for our FA Cup quarter final against Sheffield United is Steve Dunn.

Mr Dunn has reffed 20 matches so far this season (13 Premiership, 2 Div 1, 1 Div 3, 2 LC, 2 FAC); he has already handed out 59 yellow cards and 5 red cards for the season so far - but he only handed out 2 reds in the whole of the previous season! The most yellow cards he's given out in one match this season so far was five - when Birmingham drew 2-2 with Fulham, and again when Bolton beat Blackburn 4-3 at Ewood Park.

Mr Dunn was in charge at our last away game of the 2002/03 season last May when we lost 1-0 to Aston Villa and he booked Kevin Phillips in the final minute; he was also in charge when we lost 3-0 at home to Man City in the same season, when he booked two City players.

He has reffed at two FA Cup matches so far this season - Pompey's 2-1 defeat of Blackpool in the third round and Man City's 1-1 draw with Spurs in the 4th round when he cautioned Claudio Reyna, amongst others.

He also officiated at Boro's 1-0 defeat of Arsenal in January, en route to their recent League Cup win and refereed the game in September when Sheffield United became the first side to win at Wimbledon at there new home ground, the National Hockey Stadium, in a 2-1 win.
