Murray: I'm ready to go

Sunderland Chairman Bob Murray has confirmed what many supporters have been hoping for: that he'll sell the club IF the right offer comes along.

Murray confirmed to today's News of the World newspaper that he's prepared to sell the club "for the right reasons".

"If someone came in with serious money, we would sell the club", he said.

We would love a mega-investor to come in because everything is here. A buyer can walk in and own a big club with great supporters, a fabulous stadium and a great academy.

"If a Russian billionaire came in I would not only roll out the red carpet but I would hoist up a red flag."
