Sunderland AFC support 'Children In Need' campaign

Press release from Sunderland AFC:

Sunderland Football Club has pledged it's support to national fundraising initiative "Children in Need."

The club donated an Executive Box for its forthcoming Nationwide League game against Burnley at the Stadium of Light on November 29th 2003, which was then auctioned on-air by SAFC's commentary partners, BBC Radio Newcastle. The winning bid topped £1000.

SAFC Communications Director Lesley Callaghan said: "Children in Need is a very worthwhile cause that helps young people both locally and nationally and we are delighted to lend our support."

Children in Need mascot Pudsey Bear was a guest at the Black Cats recent game against Coventry City and the club has donated signed merchandise for fundraising purposes.
