Auction to win SAFC players' shirts now open

As we reported yesterday, the shirts that are worn by the players for this weekend's SAFC v Coventry clash at the Stadium of Light are to be auctioned after the match to raise money for the 2003 Poppy Appeal, in conjunction with auction website QXL.

The specially designed shirts will have poppies printed on them, to show respect for British service men and women. Washington Badge who printed the shirts and QXL who are auctioning the shirts are both offering their services free of charge.

After Saturday's game all players in the 20-man squad for SAFC will autograph their genuine match shirt for auction.

Bidding on QXL has just opened, and you have until 8pm on Friday 14 November to place a bid. The reserve price for each shirt is £50.

To make a bid for the shirt(s) of your choice, go to the auction on QXL's website by clicking here.
