SAFC October half-term soccer schools
SAFCommunity's popular junior soccer courses will once again be running during the October half-term in venues across the North of England and Scotland.
The courses for children aged between 4 and 14 will be operating at school sites throughout Durham, Sunderland, North and South Tyneside, North Yorkshire and the Scottish Borders. Courses cater for all abilities and the focus is on fun and enjoyment, with team games, individual skills and competitions. There are also specialist goalkeeper and striker courses for youngsters aged between 8 and 16.
Sunderland Football Club recently became the first club in the North East to be awarded the prestigious FA Charter Mark for its community soccer courses. The mark is a general quality award covering areas including coaching, child/coach ratio, health and safety, child protection issues, equipment and venues, ensuring that the highest possible standards are maintained by clubs and organisations.
SAFCommunity Development Officer Bob Oates said: "Our courses are a great way for both boys and girls to do something different during the holidays. Our staff are both qualified and experienced and ensure that the courses are rewarding and enjoyable in a safe and professional environment."
