Cash Turnstile Entry Today?
Well sort of - more chaotic shambolic SAFC managment cock-up? Or punishment for those who did not renew?
Well an interesting story appears on the message board and I quote:
"Just returned home from the stadium very pissed off that I cannot get in, no it's not a 48,000 sell out but the
idiots at our Club shoving another two fingered salute in our faces.
I arrived at the ground at 2:30 and stood in the queue at the cash turnstile... 20 mins. later they closed the
turnstile claiming there were no tickets left and advised we try another.
I arrived at the other cash turnstile to find a bigger queue and guess what, no tickets?! Advised to
try another turnstile I had a quick scoot around the ground to find there were only 2 sets of cash
turnstiles in the whole ground.
On joining another large queue at the ticket office a Club official had the nerve to come outside
and suggest we may get in quicker if we went to one of the many cash turnstiles available.
After standing there for a further 15 minutes and still not being inside the building knowing we
were a goal down and having missed the first mins of the game I decided against parting with my £23.00 and
going home instead.
Further proof that those incharge are clueless, there were a number of fans left
dissapointed this afternoon that they could not gain entry to a 48,000 seater stadium that contained
a crowd of less than 30,000.
Do the Club want our money?
There must have been a good 200 people just left, that's £4,600 that the Club have lost in revenue,
added to the fact that many people just wont bother going to the next game because of this."
What can one say about this that hasn't already been said or will be ignored by the higher 'echelons' within the walls of the "mighty" Stadium Of (sh)Light(e)?
Nothing because they don't listen!
