SAFC have completed the signing of Sweden midfielder Ola Toivonen on a season-long-loan from French club Rennes.
Toivonen played under Dick Advocaat at PSV and Advocaat believes he will bring something different to the team.
“I worked with Ola at PSV so I know him well. He is a national team player with a lot of experience, an attacking midfielder who can score goals and is good in the air- he will bring something to the team”. Advocaat told safc.com.
However, Jonathan De Guzman’s on-off-definitely on-definitely off deal is now dead. Advocaat told reporters during his media call, “No, no, not hopeful. He will not come”.
Eyes now turn towards the transfer deadline on Tuesday evening. Whatever happens within the next few days, our transfer window has flattered to deceive at best. Prove me wrong, please.
